The Franklin County Commissioners today invited the public to attend the third in a series of quarterly presentations on county operations called “Vision 2020:Focusing on the Future.” This presentation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., at The Star Theater, 23 W. Seminary Avenue, Mercersburg, PA.

The goal of this meeting will be to provide residents with current information about county operations,and to share the commissioners’ vision for county operations going forward.

County managers and other county staff will present information about county services and programs under their supervision, and they will specifically address services that affect citizens in the Mercersburg area and surrounding communities.

The public will be invited to comment on the information presented, as well as to share ideas about the future of Franklin County and how Franklin County’s government can best serve its citizens in the future.

“The purpose of these presentations is to share the commissioners’ vision for how best to meet today’s challenges, and those of tomorrow,” said Commissioner and Board Chairman David S. Keller.

Additional public meetings will be held quarterly in locations across Franklin County. Specifics of these meetings will be announced at a later date.
