As part of Crime Prevention Month, the Tyrone Police Department has partnered with MyLocalCrime.com to bring our citizens location specific crime information and alerts. This free service allows us to enter information about criminal activity, which is then plotted on a map of the Town for public review.

If you are interested, visit www.mylocalcrime.com and enter your address in the search box. An interactive map that is centered on your address will load that includes icons which specify the location and types of crimes that have occurred near you. Clicking on an icon will provide you with more information about the crime.

Additionally, you can sign up to receive email and/or text alerts when activity occurs in your area!

Please note that:
1. Some crimes were entered twice during our testing phase and all duplicate entries should be removed soon; and
2. Not all police activity is entered. We add major criminal activity and redact other items such as false alarms, EMS calls, open doors, civil matters, traffic arrests, etc.
