...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT FAIRFIELD AND WESTCHESTER COUNTIES... AT 124 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING A DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM BETHEL TO RIDGEFIELD TO HAWTHORNE...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 7 MILES SOUTH OF NEWTOWN TO 9 MILES SOUTH OF DANBURY TO NORTH TARRYTOWN...AND MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. SMALL HAIL AND WINDS UP TO 45 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURES NUMBER ONE KILLERS. REMEMBER...IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER...YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. MOVE TO SAFE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
