"Weather Watch" in effect for Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane, Dupage, and Cook Counties.

National Weather Service has issued a Weather Watch for Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane, Dupage, and Cook Counties until Wednesday, October 27th.

An area of low pressure developing over the central great plains will rapidly intensify as it lifts northeast towards northwest WI; the storm is currently forecast to reach a min. pressure of 28.35 inches Tuesday night while centered over northeast MN; if this storm develops as forecast; its circulation will strengthen enough to cause wind gusts in excess of 55 m.p.h.; Tuesday afternoon.

Current guidance suggests a lull in the very windy conditions Tuesday night; then winds will increase shortly after daybreak Wednesday as the low pressure begins to move northeast away from the Great Lakes Region.
