National-Take-Back (drug) Day results in collection & destruction of over 3 tons of controlled & non-controlled drugs
The Mercersburg Police Department received notice from the Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration, John J. BRYFONSKI, Philadelphia, PA that the National-Take-Back (drug) day on September 25, 2010 was a great success.
Agent BRYFONSKI stated initiative resulted in the collection and destruction of a little over three tons, (6,254.5 pounds) of controlled as well as non-controlled substances from Pennsylvania and Delaware. This event would not have been possible without the support of the public.
The results are from 56 counties in Pennsylvania, (5,951.11 pounds) and 3 counties in the state of Delaware, (303.39 pounds).
Mercersburg conducted the National-Take-Back initiative in conjunction with the annual Mercersburg Townfest on September 25, 2010.
