A male adult walking with a bicycle was struck by a Metrolink train at about 9:20 a.m. in the city of Pico Rivera. The collision occurred on Durfee Avenue north of Stephens Street. The age and identification of the bicyclist has not been determined. Preliminary investigation indicates the male was walking southbound on Durfee Avenue. He circumnavigated the lowered and flashing railroad crossing arms. He and his bicycle were struck by a westbound Metrolink train. The male adult did not survive. There were no other reported injuries, and the deceased has not been identified. No further information is available at this time.
