Do not leave any valuables in your vehicle in plain sight. This is our most prevalent crime and the easiest to prevent. If the suspects do not see anything, they will move on to the next vehicle. Don’t be the easy target. Suspects are looking for GPS systems, iPods, cell phones, lap top computers, purses and wallets.

Lock your doors and windows. We have had numerous residential burglaries where the victims reported that they either forgot to lock their door or chose to leave their windows open. This makes your home a soft target and gives that opportunist easy access to your valuables.

If your vehicle is over five years old, please invest in a secondary security system like a steering or ignition locking mechanism. This will make it difficult enough for most car thieves that they will again move on to the easier target.
