The Port Neches Police Department is alerting citizens, especially in and near the Hughann subdivision, to be sure to lock and sucure their vehicles. There have been two vehicles stolen in the past two weeks. In both cases the vehicles were left unlocked and the keys were left in the vehicle.

Investigators would also like any citizen that suspects that someone has entered their vehicle to call the Police Department and make a report of this incident.

As always and especially around the holiday season, be sure to secure your vehicles and do not leave anything of value inside the vehicles. The vast majority of auto thefts and burglaries occur when vehicles are left unsecured.
