WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST TUESDAY/ BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 11 PM MST TUESDAY

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN POCATELLO HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 11 PM MST TUESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST TUESDAY.

* TIMING...THROUGH 11 PM TUESDAY EVENING.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...SUSTAINED WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH AND GUSTS TO 35 MPH TONIGHT WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT. THE WINDS WILL INCREASE DRASTICALLY ON TUESDAY. PRODUCING WIDESPREAD ZERO VISIBILITIES.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: MALAD, OAKLEY, CITY OF ROCKS, CONNOR SUMMIT, SWEETZER SUMMIT, MALAD SUMMIT, LAVA HOT SPRINGS, SODA SPRINGS, MCCAMMON, FISH CREEK SUMMIT, SWAN
VALLEY, GRAYS LAKE NWR, PRESTON, MONTPELIER, GEORGETOWN, PARIS, & GEORGETOWN SUMMIT

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE FORECAST FOR THE VALLEYS. ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 TO 18 INCHES ARE FORECAST FOR HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

* IMPACTS...LIFE THREATENING CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR THROUGH TUESDAY. WHITEOUT CONDITIONS WILL DISORIENT TRAVELERS OR THOSE STEPPING A SHORT WAY FROM WARM AND DRY SHELTER. POWER OUTAGES MAY ALSO OCCUR.
