Advisory

The storm is almost on us. Travel W/B on U.S. 30 out of Montpelier not advised. See link for more information.

All roads in Bingham County are closed until further notice.

Due to drifting snow and low visibility, Bonneville County will focus their snow plowing efforts on roadways in the populated areas. Many roads in the outlying areas will not be plowed until the winds subside.

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes have closed all east-west roads on the Fort Hall Reservation due to the inability of roads maintenance personnel to keep up with drifting snow over roadways. The closure includes Ferry Butte Road in Bingham County. North-south roads remain open, but whiteout conditions exist. Tribal roads personnel are focusing on keeping roads passable for those needing to travel due to medical conditions. Emergency travel needs should be reported to the Fort Hall Police Dispatch at 478-4000 or 238-4000.

The Idaho Transportation Department reports that there is snow on the road, ice, gusty winds and low visibilty on I-15 from the Utah state line to Fort Hall. Driving conditions are difficult in these areas.

On I-15 from Fort Hall to Idaho Falls there is dense fog and low visibility.
