The contractor will perform potholing operations in preparation of a three-month storm drain relocation at Montana Av and Sepulveda Bl. This activity is necessary to identify and protect existing utilities prior to storm drain excavation. This work requires the nightly closure of the Montana Av undercrossing and a lane reduction on Sepulveda Bl.
What: Potholing for utility identification
When: Night work is anticipated to start Monday, December 6, 2010 for approximately one week between the hours of 9:00pm and 6:00am, weather permitting.
Where: Montana Av at Sepulveda Bl.
What to expect:
• Nightly closures of the Montana Av undercrossing will be implemented. Eastbound and westbound Montana Av traffic will be detoured via Church Lane.
• Nightly closures of the Montana Av off ramp will be implemented; ramp closures will be coordinated with Caltrans and may start as early as 7:00pm.
• Sepulveda Bl traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
• Access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
• Access to emergency vehicles will be maintained.
• Work is weather permitting and subject to change.
