Winter parking ban in effect. All streets no parking midnight to 8:00 AM.

The South Burlington Police Department would like to remind people that our Winter Parking Ban is in effect. The South Burlington City Ordinance, Section 32 states;

No person shall, between the hours of 12 midnight and 8:00 AM. including Sundays and legal holidays, during the period of December 1st of each year to April 1st of the following year, park any vehicle within the limits of any public highway of the City in such a manner as to interfere with the prompt and orderly removal or plowing of snow, removal of ice, or sanding or salting of highways.

A violation of this ordinance may mean a ticket or a tow. Vehicles may be towed even when snow is not a concern so that roads remain clear each night.

We are asking and encouraging people not to park their vehicles on public highways within the city limits between midnight and 8:00 AM, which will allow our Highway Department to maintain the roads in a more effective manner.

If you have questions about our Winter Parking Ban, please call, 846-4111.
