PRESS RELEASE: WOODWAY PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT JOINS FACEBOOK & TWITTER

The Woodway Public Safety Department has joined the popular social networking sites Facebook and Twitter to more effectively provide timely information to the community. The Facebook page will have information on recent news releases, department events, and programs and services offered by the department. Facebook users can choose to “like” the Woodway Public Safety Department and receive updates as they are posted. The Woodway Public Safety Department Twitter site will be linked to the Facebook account and will also offer followers updated information regarding community events and critical incidents such as missing persons, extended road closures and significant crimes that have recently occurred. Social networking, in additional to our existing public information campaign, is another way that the Woodway Public Safety Department will continue to reach out to the community we serve. This department realizes that the community deserves accurate and updated information made available to them as soon as possible.
