THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A LAKE
EFFECT SNOW WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON
TO 1 AM EST THURSDAY. THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH IS NO LONGER IN
EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS: CENTRAL NEW YORK.

* HAZARDS: HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS: SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 12 INCHES POSSIBLE
BY EARLY TUESDAY MORNING WITH ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS LIKELY
THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY. THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS OF SNOW TONIGHT ARE
LIKELY SOUTH OF THE IMMEDIATE SYRACUSE AREA...ACROSS SOUTHERN
ONONDAGA...AND WESTERN MADISON COUNTIES ALONG WITH NORTHERN
CORTLAND AND CHENANGO COUNTIES.

* TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW BANDS WILL BEGIN TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON
AND INTENSIFY TONIGHT. HEAVY LAKE SNOWS WILL THEN CONTINUE
THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY.

* TEMPERATURES: FALLING INTO THE TEENS BY THIS EVENING AND
REMAINING IN THE TEENS TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY.

* WINDS: NORTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN A QUARTER OF A MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS: HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CREATE
DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA
