Winter Storm Warning in effect from 9am Monday to 6am Tuesday. Off Street Parking only. Snow Emergency Anticipated.

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 9
am Monday to 6 am CST Tuesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer
in effect.

* Timing... light snow will move into portions of east central
Minnesota and the Twin Cities Metro area by mid morning.
Snow... heavy at times will be possible during the afternoon
... into the evening. The snow should taper off through early
Tuesday morning.

* Main impact... snowfall amounts of 5 to 8 inches by Tuesday
morning.

* Other impacts... low visibilities in heavy snow and difficult
travel conditions... especially for the evening commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
