I. DATE AND TIME OF PRESS RELEASE: December 21, 2010

II. ANNOUNCEMENT: Narcotics Search Warrant/Arrests

III. FACTS:

The Alameda County Narcotics Task Force obtained a Narcotics Search Warrant for the residence of Javier Soto and his wife, Ana Soto, who reside at 5944 Singing Hills Avenue, Livermore.

This morning, about 7:00AM, the Task Force served this warrant with the assistance of the San Leandro Police Department and the Livermore Police Department. During the service of this warrant, over 2 ½ pounds of methamphetamine, 2 pounds of marijuana, $53,000 cash, and 10 firearms were recovered from the residence.

Both are being charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and weapon violations.

The “Street Value” of the recovered drugs:
Methamphetamine- Approx. $225,000
Marijuana- Approx. $18,000
