On October 22, 2010 the owner of Global Force Auction, 122 Park Lane, Thurmont, reported six (6) pieces of equipment; attachments to excavation equipment, to have been stolen. The combined value of these equipment attachments was valued at $9,550. Later this same day, October 22, 2010, the owner located his stolen equipment at an auction yard in York Springs, Pennsylvania. Officer Jerry Morales conducted an investigation and discovered that Charles Randolph Ruby Jr., age 36, of Rocky Ridge, was responsible for stealing the equipment and transporting it to the auction yard in York Springs. On December 29, 2010 Officer Morales served a Criminal Summons on Mr. Ruby charging him with one count of Theft: $1,000 to under $10,000.
