Recently, Wayne County Sheriff Thomas G. Maurer recognized several officers who were selected for their outstanding performance during 2010.

Scott Ries-
Law Enforcement Division
Deputy Ries is a 14 year veteran with the Sheriff's Office. He was selected by his peers for his abilities during the over the past year of solving crimes and assisting wherever possible. Scott resides in the Marshallville area with his wife and children. He is an avid hunter.
Paul Brumme-
Law Enforcement Division
Life Saving Award
Deputy Paul Brume was given the "life saving award" for his outstanding act of heroism during a call in Chippewa Township on July 8th of this year.
Paul risked his life and entered a burning residence to successfully rescue a woman. Paul is a seasoned officer of 10 years. He lives in the Wooster area with his wife and child. Paul enjoys rebuilding cars.
Adam Manges-
Corrections Division
Deputy Manges began his career with the Sheriff's Office in 2004. His peers selected him because of his efforts to help anywhere possible. His courtesy to staff, prisoners and public were evident in his selection. He is referred to as "the go to person". Adam resides in the Shreve area with his wife and children. He is an avid hunter.
