Winter weather expected this weekend, residents are urged to plan accordingly.

We just received a briefing from the EMA on the potential for some fairly extreme winter weather this weekend.
An area of Metro Atlanta that includes Fayette and surrounding counties is expected to experience 1" to 5" inches of snow and/or sleet. The system is expected to cross into Georgia around 8 pm on Sunday and to be covering most of the State around midnight. The storm is expected to produce winter precipitation until the early morning hours on Tuesday.
Please take necessary precautions and make preparations for the possibility of being "snowed in" and stay tuned to local TV/radio news for further updates.
