Advisory

The roads and bridges in Roswell have seen a modest improvement over the last four hours however ........

....... we strongly recommend motorists exercise extreme caution after sundown. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly tonight into the low to mid teens. Roads and bridges will again freeze over and become impassable. RDOT advises all motorists to stay off the roads as much as possible until the temperatures warm up and ice begins to melt. Current weather forecasts indicate that temperatures will not have a prolonged period above freezing until Friday.

Sand and salt crews are working around the clock, but they are only able to service the major roadways and bridges. Secondary roads such as subdivisions and hilly segments of roads will remain impassable until the weather improves.

We will continue to monitor the weather and update as conditions change.
