The Mercersburg Police Department would like to remind all Mercersburg Borough residents that Mercersburg Borough Ordinance 7-6 requires property owners to remove snow from the public sidewalks no later than twenty-four (24) hours after the snow has ceased to fall. Property owners are required to clear or cause to have cleared a pathway upon the sidewalk where their property abuts. The pathway shall not be less than thirty-six (36) inches in width.

Property owners on street corners or at crosswalks are required to clear a path in the ramp or curb leading to a crosswalk.

In the interest of pedestrian safety The Mercersburg Police Department is requesting that all Borough residents comply with Ordinance 7-6. Thank You.
