The NCSO DARE Program educates over 1,000 children in schools every year; Positive role models for our youth.

Did you know?

The DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program instructs more than 1,000 Fifth-grade elementary students every year in Nash County schools. D.A.R.E. is a collaborative effort by law enforcement, educators, students, parents and communities to offer an educational program in the classroom to reduce and prevent drug abuse and violence among our youth. While many agencies have decided to eliminate their DARE programs, Sheriff Jenkins has continued to support the DARE program and keep it running in our schools.

Corporal Angel Ricks has served as the D.A.R.E. Officer for the Nash County Sheriff's Office for nearly 14 years. She also serves as a positive role model for our children while ensuring that the D.A.R.E. message is delivered effectively and professionally.
