On January 13, 2011 at approximately 1925 hours, Livermore police officers responded to the report of two victims who had been killed inside a residence in the 600 block of Canterbury Avenue. Upon arrival, family friends reported they responded to the house just prior to visit and check on the elderly resident and her middle aged grandson. When they entered the house, they observed the elderly woman deceased with severe head trauma as a result of an apparent gunshot wound. Along side of her was her grandson, also with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Neighbors had reported hearing possible gunshots during the early evening hours but were unable to determine their origin.
