Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Jesse Owens Park, 9651 South Western Avenue, Los Angeles, Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Parks Bureau arrested a man for selling "Rock" Cocaine from a public restroom.

Deputies from Parks Bureau's Special Problems Team received complaints of a man selling narcotics at Jesse Owens Park. They conducted a surveillance of the park, but specifically, the area described to them by park patrons who had witnessed the sale of drugs. They saw Reginald Banks, 47 years of age, resident of Los Angeles, in the men’s public restroom acting as if the restroom was his office and he was conducting business. Mr. Banks was found in possession of Cocaine and Marijuana both packaged for sale.

Reginald Banks was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) for Sales and Possession of Marijuana for Sales. He is being held in lieu of $50,000.
