Recently, The Huron Township Police Dept. received a complaint from a resident of a phone scam. The resident was contacted by a male who identifed himself as their "favorite grandson". The male explained that he had been arrested in Canada and needed a cash bond. The resident was instructed to send the money, via western union, to Madrid, Spain. A very similar scam was reported in Sterling Heights and subsquently on channel 4 WDIV.
