The Grapevine Police Dept is still applications for it's Citizen Police Academy, which begins on 02/10/11. 
During the next fourteen weeks you will have the unique opportunity to see and interact with your Police Department as never before. You will observe its functions and see its innermost workings. You will come to understand basic and advanced police procedures. The topics will vary to cover the entire spectrum of Municipal Criminal Justice.
We hope this academy strengthens communications between the department and the community we serve. To provide a safe environment, citizens and police must jointly address issues and solutions. This Academy was devised for that purpose. Each class is about three hours long and starts at 6:30 pm on Thursdays except for the blocks of firearms training. Class for firearms training will assemble in the Training Room as usual, except it will be held on Saturdays at 8:00 am.
