In January 2010, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation involving several Nash County residents distributing prescription pills in the area. As this investigation progressed our investigators were able to develop information that led us to believe some of these individuals may have profited from staging vehicle accidents in the area. Investigators from this agency reached out to Investigators from the North Carolina Department of Insurance to share this information and assist them in this matter in any way we could. As a result of their hard work, the North Carolina Department of Insurance has been able to arrest several individuals from this area. The success of this investigation is directly related to a strong working relationship between two law enforcement agencies.
