Suspect Arrested in Residential Armed Robbery
On January 24, 2011, at about 1:55 p.m., a male suspect, later identified as Peter Lundin, entered a residence, uninvited, in the 3700 block of Madeira Way in Livermore. There were reportedly five people in the home at the time: three residents and two visitors. Lundin allegedly displayed a handgun and demanded valuables from one of the residents. Two of the residents left immediately through the backyard. Lundin became impatient when the remaining resident failed to provide the valuables. Lundin fired at least one round from the handgun into the ceiling of the home. The remaining resident and two visitors ran from the home through the front door and notified police.
Lundin is known to the residents and was immediately identified. It is unknown at this time if Lundin took anything from the home.
Police arrived on scene about 2:00 p.m. and, with the assistance of the police K-9, searched the home and surrounding areas, but were unable to locate Lundin or any other suspects.
Evidence of a firearm discharge was located at the scene.
On January 24, 2011, at about 6:30 p.m., Tracy Police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the City of Tracy. The male driver was later determined to be Peter Lundin. Lundin failed to yield and led officers in a vehicle pursuit. Lundin reportedly abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee from officers on foot. He was captured and arrested after a short foot chase. Lundin was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, evading officers, and driving under the influence.
Peter Lundin is currently in custody in the San Joaquin County jail facing the above listed charges.
