The Village Board meeting scheduled for this evening, Feb 1, is cancelled due to the extreme weather conditions.
An Emergency Warming Center / Shelter is located at Shepard High School at 13049 S. Ridgeland Ave in Palos Heights, IL, The Red Cross will be operating the shelter and it will begin operation at 6:00 PM today.

Worth Village Hall closed Feb 2nd 2011.
Worth Township will be closed Feb 2nd 2011.
There will be no garbage pickup Wednesday Feb 2nd 2011. Garbage pickup resumes on Thursday Feb 3rd and will be a day behind for the duration of the week.
During this storm we ask the public to refrain from traveling, if possible. If necessary to drive, dress warm and use extreme caution.
