Brown County Emergency Management Agency Update

• The Season discounted rate for locals is $35.00 per night
• Comfort Inn discounted rate for locals is $35.00 per night
• Brown County Inn discounted rate for locals is $39.00 per night
We strongly urge citizens to stay in their homes and stay off the roadways if means to do so are available.
If citizens must leave their homes it is recommended to make arrangements with family or friends.
The businesses listed above have offered a discounted rate for room rental.
The American Red Cross will be opening a shelter at the Brown County YMCA at 11:00am for citizens who cannot make other arrangements.
There are several closed and impassable roads throughout the county at this time. Citizens should consider their safety and be very cautious if they choose to leave their home. Watch for downed power lines and trees in roadway as well as severe road conditions.
Citizens who choose to rent a room need to bring personal hygiene items, medications, non-perishable food items and identification.
Citizens who choose to come to the shelter at the Brown County YMCA need to bring personal hygiene items, medications, pillow and blankets, non-perishable food items and identification.

There will be NO pets allowed at the shelter.
