On February 4th, 2011 the Nash County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received information regarding individuals possibly forging prescriptions from prescription pads stolen from doctors in the Nash and Wilson County area. This investigation led to a search warrant being executed at 9280 Midway Rd. Bailey, NC. The residents at this address were Ennis Christopher Clark and his wife Krista Lee Clark.

During the search at 9280 Midway Rd., Investigators found more than nine hundred (900) prescription pills. Most of these pills are believed to have been obtained illegally through forged prescriptions. Investigators also found prescription pads from several different doctors, as well as, already forged prescriptions ready to be filled. Both Ennis Christopher Clark and Krista Clark were arrested and Krista Clark admitted to stealing the prescription pads and forging the prescriptions. It is believed Krista Clark has been involved in forging prescriptions since January 2008. Ennis Christopher Clark has been charged with trafficking opium/heroin and received a $100,000.00 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for February 8th, 2011. Krista Lee Clark was charged with trafficking opium/heroin, as well as, six (6) counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery. She received a $120,000.00 secured bond and her first court appearance is also scheduled for February 8th, 2011.

This investigation is still in its early stages as investigators plan to contact doctors that may be victims in this case, as well as, local pharmacies to learn the extent of Ennis and Krista Clarks’ activities. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assisted in this investigation.
