Residents of the City of Lebanon can now receive important, official information directly from the Lebanon City Police Department via Nixle. Messages will be delivered by email, SMS/text message, and over the World Wide Web.

Notifications may include crime issues, information about missing adults or children, declaration of snow emergencies, traffic and parking issues and Community Events.

Information can be received online and via e-mail for free. Residents receive messages by phone as part of their text messaging plan (otherwise standard text message rates apply)

Nixle’s Community Information Service is built exclusively to provide secure and reliable communications. Its authenticated service connects city agencies to citizens in real-time, delivering information to residents of geographically targeted areas and neighborhoods.

A note about messaging: you may occasionally receive a notification from another area agency. This information should impact you based on the location you’ve registered in the system. Should it not, you can unsubscribe from messages from that agency in two ways: 1) Log in and click “Settings;” uncheck the “subscribe” box. 2) Click "Home." When your Personal Wire appears, find the unwanted message and click Options and Unsubscribe next to the agency’s name.
