There has been a recent e-mail circulating pertaining to robberies that have occurred in the immediate area involving a gold colored Saturn occupied by a black female and 3-4 black males.

Not wanting to put out erroneous information, the Avondale Estates Police Department contacted local authorities to inquire about the alleged criminal activity.

AEPD was advised that there was a burglary, NOT robbery, in the area just outside of Avondale Estates that involved a gold colored Saturn occupied by a number of black suspects.

Anyone observing suspicious activity involving a gold colored Saturn (occupied by several black occupants) is asked to contact 911 immediately, possibly attaining additional information (i.e. license plate #) that would assist in the capture/investigation.

Also, noted in the circulating e-mail was mention of a dark blue colored Mustang possibly being used by the same suspects. At the time of this message, that information has not been confirmed.

Once again, the activity has involved burglaries - not robberies.
