Wind Advisory for the lower Snake River Plain including Pocatello, Blackfoot and Massacre Rocks areas. It is in effect until 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Eastern Magic Valley-Sawtooth Mountains-Upper Snake Highlands, Upper Snake River Plain, Lower Snake River Plain, South Central Highlands, Caribou Highlands, Cache Valley/Idaho Portion Wasatch Mountains/Idaho portion, Big and Little Wood River Region, Lost River/Pahsimeroi

Today and tonight: A strong cold front will move through Eastern Idaho today with heavy snow in the central mountains and strong winds ahead of and behind the front. Six to 12 inches of snow may fall above 7000 feet in the central mountains with 4 to 9 inches in the eastern highlands. One to two inches are expected in the snake river plain this evening. Strong winds will also cause blowing and drifting snow especially on mountains passes.

Thursday through Tuesday:

Expect a period of unsettled weather with a chance of snow each day.

Winter Weather Advisory for the Upper Snake Highlands, Caribou Highlands, Wasatch Mountains/Idaho Portion including the cities of Edie Ranch, Monida Pass, Targhee Pass, Grays Lake, Georgetown Summit. The advisory remains in effect from noon today to 6 a.m. mst Thursday above 6500 feet.

* Snow accumulations: Storm total snowfall is expected to range from five to 10 inches above 6500 feet and two to five below.

* Elevation: above 6500 feet.

* Tming: Snow will spread into the eastern highlands Wednesday afternoon with the heaviest snowfall occurring overnight.

* Winds: Gusty winds will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow with reduced visibility at times.

* Impacts: Travel over Teton Pass will become difficult or hazardous at times.
