The national weather service in twin cities/chanhassen has issued a winter storm watch which is in effect from late Saturday Night through late Sunday night.
Wintry precipitation is expected to develop late Saturday night and continue through Sunday night. Snowfall accumulations in the 5 to 10 inch range appear possible. This winter weather could make for difficult travel as blustery winds could create areas of blowing and drifting snow Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
