Going on vacation?? The Sheriff's Office will conduct a security check on your house while you are gone.

Leaving on an extended vacation? Contact the Sheriff's Office to have a security check done on your house!

If you and your family are planning on leaving town for an extended vacation, the Sheriff's Office can conduct security checks at your residence while you are gone to ensure that everything remains secure and safe.

How does it work?

Just contact the Nash County Communications Center at 252-459-4121 prior to you leaving on vacation. Tell them what day you are leaving, what day you are returning, and other facts such as vehicles that will be left in the yard, lights on in the house, pets in the backyard, etc.

If you will be gone for less than two weeks, then the Sheriff's Office will check on your house once a day for the time that you are gone. If your vacation is really extended, and you will be gone for longer than two weeks, then the Sheriff's Office will check your house once a week. It's that simple!!
