WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST SATURDAY, WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELED

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN POCATELLO HAS CANCELED THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY. A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST SATURDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS, ABOVE 7000 FEET ELEVATION, 9 TO 14 INCHES. BELOW 7000 FEET ELEVATION, 6 TO 10 INCHES.

* TIMING, SNOW HAS ALREADY DEVELOPED BUT WILL BE AT ITS MOST INTENSE AFTER SUNSET.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE, LAVA HOT SPRINGS, SODA SPRINGS, MCCAMMON, FISH CREEK SUMMIT, SWAN VALLEY, GRAYS LAKE NWR, MONTPELIER, GEORGETOWN, PARIS, GEORGETOWN SUMMIT

* IMPACTS, HEAVY SNOW MAY MAKE SOME OF THE HIGHER ELEVATION ROADS TEMPORARILY IMPASSABLE. AT LOWER ELEVATIONS, DRIVING WILL BE DIFFICULT. PLAN MORE TIME IN REACHING YOUR DESTINATION.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS.
