West Manheim Police wish to Welcome Home Officer Rick Phillips from Eastern Adams Regional PD.

West Manheim Police Dept. will be attending the Welcome Home Detail for EARPD Officer Rick Phillips.

Time Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:00am - 2:00pm

Location for public: New Oxford Center Square

The following Public Message Created By(FB)Get Well Soon Rick Phillips!, Greg Trent:

More Info: Alan Dusman is a pilot for Hanover Foods in York County. He's bringing Adams County Police Officer Rick Phillips home from a Neurological Rehab Center in North Carolina. THANK YOU, HANOVER FOODS!

Officer Phillips suffered severe brain injuries in a March 2010 crash in Berwick Township. He was pursuing another vehicle, when he crashed his patrol car into the back of a tractor trailer.

They will fly from Raleigh-Durham on Saturday, February 26th to bring Phillips home. They are expected to land at York (THOMASVILLE) Airport around 10:15 that morning.

The homecoming ceremony at York Airport is open to the public, BUT Officer Phillips will NOT BE ABLE to greet everyone in the crowd. It will likely be overwhelming for him, so his wife will try to keep it short and get him home & acclimated to his new life.

So SUPPORTERS AND FRIENDS are welcome and asked to gather at the Square in New Oxford to cheer for Officer Phillips on his way home. They expect to pass through that part of Route 30, around 11:15 a.m.

INVITE everyone!!! Let's show Officer Phillips and all our local publice servants that we DO appeciate what they do for us each and every day!!

April Keller Phillips quoted: "If he is ok with it that day, we may be able to stop and let him get out and wave. Will have to wait and see though. I will have the video camera rolling for this memorable occasion!!"

Matt Quinn of Quinn Flag LLC316 Broadway Hanover, PA 17331is donating American Flags for the well wishers to wave! THANK YOU, QUINN FLAGS!!
