NWS has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the region:
THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR A SIGNIFICANT RAIN EVENT LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING AS A SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT COULD BRING A PERIOD OF HEAVY RAIN TO THE REGION.
THIS MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF STREAMS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.
National Weather Service Forecast for the North Castle Area:
Today/Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 41. South wind around 11 mph.
Tonight: A slight chance of snow and sleet after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. South wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday: A slight chance of light rain, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. South wind between 5 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday Night: A chance of rain. Patchy fog after 9pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 41. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Sunday: Periods of rain. Patchy fog. High near 51. South wind between 10 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday Night: Periods of rain. Patchy fog before midnight. Low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Monday: A chance of rain before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 40%

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

All North Castle residents should prepare for the possibility of power outages during this time period extending into the overnight and until the posted NWS expiration date and time.
Residents experienceing an interuption in electrical service should contact Con Edison Directly at 1-800 75CONED to report their outage. All effected residents should call Con Edison even if the outage was reported by their neighbor.
The North Castle Office of Emergency Management is monitoring this high wind event and may activate the EOC if required to deal with situations arising from it.
