Daytime B&E's
Daytime B&E's
In the last two weeks the township has experienced an increased amount of daytime B&E's. All the B&E's follow the same method of operation. A rear window or door is forced open and the suspect goes straight to the master bedroom and takes all the jewelry.
We believe that the suspect knocks on the front door first to confirm that no one is home. If anyone experiences an unknown subject knocking on the door and asking for directions, gas, or for someone who doesn’t live there, we ask you contact the police department right away. If possible get a vehicle description.
We also suggest that residents do not leave valuable jewelry out in the open. The suspect is taking jewelry left in jewelry boxes or jewelry in dresser drawers.
Anyone with information on the B&E's can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP. You will stay anonymous and may receive a cash reward if an arrest is made.
