On March 8th, 2011, a joint investigation by the Nash County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation led to the arrest of three (3) individuals in Nash County. The month long investigation ended when investigators received information that Ronald Kyle Viverette would be on US 301 North near NC 43 in possession of cocaine. As Investigators attempted to stop Viverette, he led Deputies on a short vehicle pursuit that ended in the parking lot of a convenience store at the intersection of US 301 and Jeffries rd. Ronald Kyle Viverette and his passenger, Stanley Eugene Deese, were both taken into custody at this time and approximately 1,000 grams of cocaine was seized inside the vehicle.
The investigation then led Deputies to search a residence located at 1701 Benvenue Rd. Investigators found approximately 590 grams of cocaine at this residence. Clyde Douglas Rowe,resident at this address, was charged with the cocaine found at 1701 Benvenue Rd. Viverette operates K & L Motors at 3107 South Church St. Rocky Mount, NC. $29,000.00 in US currency was also seized from Viverette during the investigation. Viverette was charged with three (3)counts of trafficking cocaine, two (2)counts of conspiracy to traffic cocaine, flee/elude arrest w/ motor vehicle, resist/obstruct/delay an officer and injury to personal property. Viverette received a $1,020,000.00 secured bond. Stanley Deese was charged with trafficking cocaine
two (2) counts and conspiracy to traffic cocaine. Deese received a $200,000.00 secured bond. Rowe was charged with trafficking cocaine and conspiracy to traffic cocaine. Rowe received a $200,000.00 secured bond. All three men are scheduled to appear in Nash County District Court on March 10th, 2011. The street value of the cocaine seized is estimated to be approximately $150,000.00.
