Search warrant yields Marihuana 4 arrested

Shortly after 8:00 am this morning, members of the police department’s narcotics unit, detective division and K9 unit served a search warrant for 509 S. Pierce. This is the culmination of a month long investigation into the illegal possession and distribution of controlled dangerous substances.

Once detectives entered the residence they located 2 adults, a 17 year old juvenile and a 4 month old female. During the search of the residence detectives located Marihuana both bulk and already packaged for resale, scales, packaging materials, drug paraphernalia along with U.S. Currency believed to be derived from sales of Marihuana. The bulk of the Marihuana was located in the same room as the 4 month year old. The Department of Human Services was contacted in reference to the 4 month old and who was placed with a family member.

While detectives were still searching the residence a third adult, who resides at the residence, arrived and was subsequently arrested.

The following individuals were arrested and their charges were:

Jennifer Olivas H/F 2-9-92 of 509 S. Pierce
Possession of Marihuana in the presence of a minor child
Possession of a controlled dangerous substance within 2000’ of a
Park
Possession with intent to distribute

Possession of paraphernalia
Possession drug proceeds

Johnny M. Ross H/M 10-5-92 of 509 S. Pierce
Possession of Marihuana in the presence of a minor child
Possession of a controlled dangerous substance within 2000’ of a
Park
Possession with intent to distribute
Possession of paraphernalia
Possession drug proceeds

Brandon W. Wright W/M 1-7-88 of 509 S. Pierce
Possession of Marihuana in the presence of a minor child

17 year old Hispanic female 10-10-93 of 509 S. Pierce
Possession of Marihuana in the presence of a minor child
