On 03/09/11 at 1339 hours, LPD was notified by Valley Memorial Hospital staff of a possible stab wound victim that had just arrived in a vehicle. While units were responding to Valley Memorial Hospital, a subsequent call was received regarding a “Road Rage” incident on Old First Street in Livermore. It was later determined that the subject, who is in his late forty’s, at Valley Memorial was involved in the Road Rage on Old First Street.

The victim of the stab wound was transported by ambulance to Eden Hospital. The other subject, later identified as Cort Holbrook, DOB: 07/08/69 from Livermore was located on Old First Street. Holbrook appeared to have an abrasion on his face. He was transported to LPD to be interviewed. At 1747 hrs we were notified that the victim had died as a result of his injuries. The suspected weapon was located at the scene on Old First Street. The case is still under investigation and the victim’s next of kin have not been located or notified. Holbrook will be booked at Santa Rita Jail for 187 PC Homicide.

This incident does not appear to be gang related. If anyone witnessed the two below listed vehicles between First St/I580 and Old First Street, you are asked to call the Livermore Police Department.
