Town of Beloit welcomes Steven J. Kopp as Interim Chief of Police. 
The Town of Beloit is pleased to welcome Steven J. Kopp as Interim Chief of Police. Chief Kopp will serve in the interim position while the Town Board conducts a search for a permanent Chief of Police. Chief Kopp is excited to serve the community he has called home for over forty years.
Chief Kopp has 34 years of law enforcement experience, having recently retired from the Janesville Police Department. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from UW-Platteville. Chief Kopp is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, and has attended thousands of hours of specialized training.
