A call from an observant citizen results in Felony drug arrest.
A vigilant citizen of the Magnolia Farms subdivision called 911 at approximately 11:30 pm on March 10, 2011 to report a suspicious vehicle in the area. Officers responded to the area immediately and located the vehicle, which was occupied by a white male, Reese Neely of Peachtree City.
The investigation led to the discovery of Heroin and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle for which he was arrested.
Why he was parked on Magnolia Drive is unknown at this time and it is undetermined whether or not his intent was to commit a crime in the area, but this citizen's call prevented any further actions by the suspect if that was his intent.
I cannot stress enough the importance of calling 911 or 770-461-HELP (4357) when you see something or someone suspicious in the community. This case is one of many that have resulted in an arrest or the prevention of a criminal act due to citizen vigilance.
Have a safe weekend!
