Advisory

Check your e-mail in reference to recent crimes involving motor vehicles.

On 03-06-2011 Officers responded to the third level of the Ballas Garage located at West County Center in reference to a Stealing from a Motor Vehicle. The reporting party advised that unknown subject(s) gained entry to his vehicle and removed several items. No signs of forced entry were located during the investigation. The vehicle was believed to be locked with the alarm activated at the time of the incident. A G.P.S. unit and a pair of sunglasses were reported as missing.

On 03-07-2011 Officers were dispatched to the 11700 block of Manchester Rd in reference to a Property Damage. The reporting party stated that the vehicle had been parked at his place of work, from 07:00 A.M. till 10:00 A.M., when it was discovered that the passenger side window had been shattered. The damage is believed to have been caused by a pellet gun or sling shot. No items were reported missing at the time of this report.

On 03-07-2011 Officers responded to the 400 block of Kassieview Ct. in regards to a Lost or Stolen Property Report. The victim advised that she had found her center console inside her vehicle to be open on the morning of today’s date. She stated she originally thought she may have left it open overnight. Later in the day she realized that her purse and cellular telephone were missing. Believing that she may have left them at home she did not contact this department until she returned home. Once at home she was unable to locate her items at which time she contacted this department. The victim advised that she did leave her vehicle unlocked on the past evening however was unsure as to whether or not she had left her items inside the vehicle.

On 03-09-2011 Officers responded to the Nordstrom Flat Lot at West County Center in reference to a Stealing from a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival the Officers found that the victim's front passenger window had been broken by an unknown item. Unknown subject(s) gained entry through the window and removed the victim’s brief case which was located on the passenger side floorboard. An Apple I-pod, several charging cords, and a Sprint Mobile Cellular hot spot were reported as missing.
