Weather Alert: SE winds 20/30MPH W/gusts to 40MPH increasing to 30/40MPH W/gusts to 60MPH after midnite 
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Special Weather Alert for the following conditions in Folsom starting this evening:
• WINDS: SOUTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH...INCREASING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH OR HIGHER AFTER MIDNIGHT.
The City of Folsom Fire Department recommends that all residents take the following precautions in advance of this weather condition to insure you and your family’s safety:
• Store food, water, blankets, battery-powered radios with extra batteries and other emergency supplies for you and your family in case you are not able to leave your residence.
• Make sure you have a current supply of all medications that you may be taking.
• Make sure all cell phones are fully charged in case you need to call others or 911 for an emergency.
• Secure all patio furniture and other outdoor items that can be blown around in the high winds
• Keep travel to a minimum.
• Keep others informed of changing weather conditions.
