Possession of a Controlled Sustenance
On 03-22-2011 while performing traffic enforcement Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 13000 block of east bound Manchester Rd. During a routine traffic interview the odor of burnt marijuana was detected by the Officer. Further investigation lead to the arrest of the driver for possession of a personal amount of marijuana and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia (Pipe, etc.).
Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident
On 03-22-2011 Officers responded to the area of Interstate 270 and Dougherty Ferry Rd for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Once on scene it was learned that a vehicle described as a Red, Chrysler Sebring, with Illinois plates struck the victims vehicle and left the area. The suspect (white female, shoulder length brown hair, black pants, and white shirt) exited her vehicle to survey the damage before leaving the scene. Investigation into this matter continues.
Stealing from a Business
On 03-23-2011 Officers responded to West County Center for a delayed report of Stealing from a Business. Upon arrival Officers learned that a suspect (white male, 25-30 years old, black sweater, tan pants, and a red hat) had removed a security device from a cellular telephone and removed it from the store. Video surveillance of the incident was obtained by this department and it is currently being utilized to identify the suspect. The store employees stated that on the previous day another cellular telephone had also been stolen. No suspect description or video surveillance was available for that occurrence.
Theft
On 03-25-2011 Officers responded to the 1000 block of Des Peres Rd in reference to a Theft of a Wallet. The victim stated he had left his wallet and his coat unattended on a bench for approximately 40-45 minutes. Returning to the bench he discovered his wallet to be missing. Speaking with several subjects in the area at the time of occurrence Officers were unable to locate a witness to the incident. Video surveillance is being reviewed at this time in an attempt to identify a suspect.
Stealing from a Motor Vehicle
On 03-26-2011 Officers responded to the fourth level of the I270 Garage at West County Center in reference to a Stealing from a Motor Vehicle. The victim stated that person(s) unknown had gained entry to his vehicle and removed items. The victim advised he believed his vehicle was locked; however no signs of forced entry were located during the investigation. Five St. Louis Cardinals ticket packages were reported as missing. The tickets have individual serial numbers which have been reported to the St. Louis Cardinals in an attempt to identify the suspect(s) when they are redeemed.
