WHAT: Announce reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of an unidentified woman, whose remains were found among garbage at a downtown recycle center.

WHY: On September 10, 2010, the LAPD Central Homicide Unit announced a decomposed body discovered in Downtown recycling center of a woman. There is a reward being offered to identify the decomposed woman. Detectives will have a composite sketch of the woman’s likeness, based upon forensic analysis, photos of a ring worn by the dead woman. Detectives will have ring on display. Also information on the woman’s dental work that may lead to her identity.
PARKING: Media trucks may park on Main Street, along the east curb; or double-park on College Street, east of the second gate opening to the recycle center, next to the employees’ cars parked along the fence.
