Camillus Police make arrests in stolen car and theft from vehicle cases.
CAMILLUS, NEW YORK - March 29, 2011 – Camillus Police Detectives announce arrests in the ongoing investigation of larcenies from motor vehicles in Camillus and surrounding areas.
Arrested are:
Jeremy P. Carolin
Solvay, New York
Zachary T. Metcalf
Onondaga, New York
Each was charged with:
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree (A Misdemeanor)
Conspiracy Sixth degree (B Misdemeanor)
During the course of this month long investigation Camillus Police recovered 15 GPS devices, cameras, Ipods, jewelry, MP3 players, cigarettes, one stolen car and other miscellaneous property.
Felony level charges are pending against both suspects in Camillus. Additionally, Camillus Police Detectives were able to link these suspects to recent crimes in Onondaga and Oneida Counties. Criminal charges have been filed or are in the process of being filed by the NYSP Sylvan Beach, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, Geddes Police and the Baldwinsville Police Department.
Carolin and Metcalf were each arraigned by Honorable Justice Steven Poli, Camillus Justice Court and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center. Bail was set for each defendant at $5,000.00 cash / $10,000.00 bail bond.
